Hello. I got soldier of fortune 2 today and I keep trying to connect to different servers, but none will let me. It tells me to wait and says that the server is running in protocol 2001, 2002, 200 3, and 2004. I've had multiple servers tell me once of these. Can I get a little help please?

If you try to connect to an SOFII v1.03 (gold) server and you are running v1.00 you will get an error message saying "server uses protocol version 2004" In order to play v1.03 (gold) you need to make a new version of the game and update it with the Gold Patch. Note Punkbuster operates on most sof2 gold servers so you will need a genuine copy of the game with a key/guid that is not on the PB banlist in order to play. Follow these simple instructions to get SOF2 v1.03 up and running in addition to your SOFII v1.00 installation. Remember you can still play v1.00 so you have nothing to loose by having both.
