Hi,

I switched to a new server from Paris to London and claimed the new server
but it isn't tracking player stats.
I see the old server as dead but is still seen as my server by Gametracker.
Can you please tell me how i can delete it or can GT do it for me?

2. Dead servers are removed automatically. Server page owners may manually remove a server using the 'Manage' menu item.

I think they "should" normally be removed but this one seems sticky.
When i search GT for m8 servers i still see it and being scanned although it's listed as "dead".

In the option (Manage) "delete server" i see :

Cannot delete servers with this source type.

That usually only occurs when rented from gameservers.com.
You have the option to remove it from your favourites by simply clicking the 'Favourite' option on the server page.

Thanks, i saw both dead and alive servers were marked as favourites so i removed the old server and will give it a test run

The server is no longer a favourite but it's still showing when i search for servers on GT matching m8 ...

Don't understand how a dead unranked server can still be in existence for GameTracker. The server was closed on December 7th 2023 !
In the "Server Management" section i see :

DELETE SERVER
Cannot delete servers with this source type.

I saw the message "last scanned xx' xxs ago" so looks like GT is still scanning that IP@

Our m8 server is now being tracked by GameTracker with the players stats working too. So all good for us thanks !
The problem with our server not being tracked was the fact that i'd claimed it with exactly the same user login as our old (dead) server).
The solution was to use my own login instead of the m8 clan login and all worked fine.
Don't know what happened as i've never seen that problem before but i'd probably done something wrong (or not done something) during the switch from the old server.

I have been running BF1942 game servers for many years and GameTracker has faithfully tracked the player scores but last December I switched to a much faster ISP (fiber). Unfortunately, GameTracker stopped tracking our player scores on all four servers. No matter what I do GameTracker refuses to accept the fact that I have claimed the servers in relation to tracking player scores. This has been an ongoing issue with newly created game servers since May of 2023. It sounds like you were dealing with the same thing but amazingly you discovered a solution? Can you please explain in detail how you got GameTracker to start tracking your player scores again on your newly created servers as I do not understand what "using your own login" has to do with anything. Thank you.
