How does DNS work?

So, I added DNS to my server and I changed the IP of the server to see what it would be like. Am I supposed to claim everything again?

Server is here

Nvm, got an email about it... I have to reclaim and then everything will be transferred right?

The DNS feature for servers will attempt to change the new IP when it is detected to change. If the server is not on the website or is unclaimed or is claimed by you, it should do it automatically. If there is a conflict, specifically it is on the site and claimed by someone else, you'll need to follow the email instructions. It seems like you may have taken care of it now.
