Why does Gametracker support piracy?

I can not get over how many servers are listed on Gametracker, blatantly advertising their servers are cracked. Why doesnt GT do something about that, remove and ban the IP's of the servers that are cracked?

It seems to me as if GT condones the piracy, by simply doing nothing about the servers listed here.

Hello,

I've responded to a similar topic on http://www.gametracker.com/forums/forum.php?site=1&thread=74058. As mentioned, GT Premium does not host illegal copies of servers. We also do not allow and advertisements for cracked servers in our forums.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to detect cracked servers automatically. It would have to be automated because we do not have the time to manually check every suspected server. It is only circumstantial to go by something like the server name, for example, because servers that run the map named Cracked and put that in the title would in trouble by those rules.

So how would someone go about addressing an obviously hacked or cracked server?

For instance a game was built for 64 players but the code changed on a server to inflate things to enable 128, does this make it a cracked or hacked server? In the past servers such as this were dealt with pretty quickly without the need for intervention as they stood out on their own.

We would have to examine that on an individual basis.
