I agree. Seasons is one of those maps that allows you to teleport to "safe areas", meaning that when you teleport to another portion of the map, you get a little breather while the monsters are catching up with you.
In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed. They produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, 500 years of democracy and peace. And what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

The monster's don't catch up they spawn on top of you and kill you, I presume there is some monster mover mutator on as monsters do not always adhere to the bot paths it seems, I frequently die repeatedly from ghost because the monster spawns right with me.

If your going to have maps with teleports consider putting enhanced players mutator on as it stops telefrags from bots/other players et cetera going through right after you.

I agree with the telefragging, but I have no idea how one would go about stopping that.

(modify ALL teleporters to make monsters use the monster move mutator when going into a teleporter...? Sounds super complicated)

Telefragging is part of the game, among other things. It teaches you to be careful and situational awareness which I see a very lack of for players and life in general.
