The mines need to be less useful not more powerful. They should have made anti personal mines that killed super close infantry, hurt close units & only stunned further back infantry. While only doing slight damage to armored vehicles and heavy damage to unarmored things like STAP, scout bikes and whatnot.

The problem IMHO was nothing but mines did huge damage vs vehicles. The rocket launcher, thermal detonator & Time bombs all should do more vs tanks than they do and the mines should do less vs vehicles. Only Det packs felt right damage wise.

Sure IED's tear armored vehicles apart but to get an armored vehicle the IED builders in Afghanistan are gutting two or three antitank mines. They also are known to set more than 1 of these in a daisy chain. This trumps all modern armor but that daisy chain crap is requiring 8 - 12 anti tank mines at once.
