when i type my commands into console (cl_righthand 1, net_graph 3 etc.) nothing happens. anyone ever heard of this happening? if so, any tips on fixing it?

update: i re-installed steam and i added a userconfig.cfg file to my cstrike folder and still nothing.

1.You marked only read option in userconfig.cfg ?
2.You have in the end of config.cfg line - exec userconfig.cfg ?

In my cs steam i hadn,t to crate userconfig.cfg i only paste commands to config.cfg and all working

try this. Open steam - my games - cs 1.6 - right click on icon - properties - set launch options and type there - (- console).
If not work open cs - options - keybord options - advanced - turn on console

What Video Mode are you using? Right Hand Alignment and Net Graph will not work on Software mode.
