my server chat is disable .. please tell me how to enable chat so that everyone can chat. ..please help

i am talking about cs 1.6 server...whenever i type msg it comes Cstrike_chat_alldead even when other peoples type it comes same as me

i dnt knw why i m being kicked off when my ping goes a little high
it happenss for me bt i becomes steadyy too
itz because of my operator cn anyone tell me a solution ????????

Your cstrike_english language file has become corrupted. You should download this file and replace it with the old cstrike_english in Counter-Strike 1.6 Server\cstrike\resource.

If this still dose not help than re-install your Counter-Strike.

The server you are trying to connect to has a High Ping Kicker installed so whenever your ping gets higher than the set ping in the High Ping Kicker, you automatically get kicked from the server. You should play on servers in your country, that way you will surely get ping less than 100. Go to http://www.gametracker.com/search/cs/ and select your country.

I miss that you say the chat

where is cstrike_english language file ??? how can i find this file in my hlds folder

i have replaced it.. but problem is still.... maybe i have made server in wrong way.. maybe i have missed some steps.. can u tell me in detail how to make cs 1.6 server ???

I researched a bit about this "Cstrike_Chat_AllDead" and found out that it is related to the cstrike_english.txt file.
So I did a little bit of tweaking in my own Counter-Strike. I first went to Counter-Strike 1.6 Server\cstrike\resource\cstrike_english.txt, then renamed this file to Acstrike_english.txt abd created a listen server, added BOTs and then killed myself. I then said something in chat and took a snapshot of what I saw:



Next I closed Counter-Strike and renamed Acstrike_english.txt back to cstrike_english.txt did the same as above and here is the snapshot:


So as you can see form these snapshots, the cstrike_english.txt is responsible for this and it should be solved by getting a correct file.

Hey demygod!
No, I don't think the way you start your server will affect this. This is a problem with the server files. You should re install your server if the problem is still there. You should delete all the server files (not maps, sound and graphic files) before re installing.

Demygod bro here is the solution

• Open the console by pressing tilde key (`).
• Type hud_saytext_time X where X is the number of seconds that a message will stay on the screen example 5.
• The chat message will appear for 5 seconds on the screen.
