i want help to add a new server in game tracker
game counter strike 1.6

I have signed up with game tracker
i choose servers
thr i got add a new server
game type:counter strike 1.6
ip or domin:thr i facing a problem,
when i am punching my system ip i.e 192.168.2.27 its saying(private ip address can not be scanned by game tracker.please enter public ip address...... thn i got a ip from www.whatismyip.com122.179.98.230 bt im getting the same answer plz help me out from this

You can't add server hosted on your computer, you have to buy server by some game hosting company.

If you read the scanning error message, it suggested that you should check your firewall. Please go into your firewall and open the port for your server. You may also need to portforward in your router.

i got same problem 1st i post my private ip then after i post my public ip from www.whatismyip.com .it doesnt add my server it gives me suggestion ...plzzz help me out wht i could do...

Hi,

What was the result when you followed those other suggestions? The most common issue is not opening the port in your firewall, which I imagine you did not. You may also need to portforward in your router.

Portforwarding is free. Your router documentation or manufacturer's website should have instructions on how you do this with your particular router.

in 192.168.1.1 i open it. there is no option for port forwarding in my ptcl net how can i add my server there is only ip problem or may be firewal]ed but i off my firewalled??????/

Go to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ for port forwarding guides and as you use PTCL DSL (which I also use) so most probably your router's manufacturer is ZTE so find ZTE on that page (link is above) and then locate your specific modem by it's model number (which is mostly written at the bottom or the top of the modem). When you locate your modem click on the "Default Guide" and follow the instructions given.
Just remember that for Counter-Strike 1.6, you just only need to forward your game port (such as 27015, if that is your port).
