It all started around 1997 in Lexington Kentucky, when KyRoS and VanHagar began playing a turn based artillery game called Scorched Earth. We were roommates at the time and spent any extra time playing video games. We built some computers and started playing anything the industry offered. As we bumped our awesome boxes up to 128mg RAM and 32Mg video cards, 56k modems started us on the path of online gaming. Kingpin- A life of crime came out in 1999 and to us was the most spectacular bloody and violent game on the market. We created a two computer LAN running wires along the ceiling to connect our boxes.
