I can change the Games

We've had the COD2 server going for a few months & I logged in and am able to change the game. Any ideas or would you want to keep Call of Duty 2 going? here is a list of them:

I also turned off the Ranked BF2 server until I can upload the AIX2 Coop mod & change that server.
I'm also hoping to serve the Demo of Battlefield Bad Company 2 when it is available. Hope everyone has an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day!

Hypernia Upgrades to our Games

We are finalizing the shutdown of our old datacenter location in Chicago and your current server is still located in this datacenter. As such we are migrating you to our new datacenter location by the end of this month.

Unfortunately, your IPs will be changing as we are not able to bring the old ones with us, but the good news is your server will be upgraded to our new server specifications. Your new server will be the following configurations:

4GB RAM
250GB HDD
100Mbit Port
Windows Server 2003 Standard Your monthly price will remain the same, at $180 which is also a nice discount off our standard price for this server specification.

Its been quiet here at Honorsquad...but the summer draws to a close

I have been working longer hours at work after getting a promotion. Am hoping to get the squad together in Sept when school resumes & its also the times that more people stay home, brr.
I have seen & spoke with a few people on Ventrilo. It's been busy for me & its also a pretty big vacation time. Every year people say the same thing, Where is everyone? We'll resume Recruiting in the middle of September...As for now, enjoy the end of summer...

I've disabled the http://www.honorsquad.com/honorsquad *}{* Honorsquad }MH{ site for now as the News & Forum disappeared from view. For the moment I've put up a temp site along with a Bulletin Board that was there for quite some time & was over run by Spammers. It also seem that you can respond to a post but can't add a new post. There is a fix that I'll be applying or since only a few people joined it might just be better to install a fresh newer version.
For now we can communicate here.

BF Vietnam Stats re-added

Somehow the Server & Stats were erased from view, but I have re-added them.
If there is a game that you would prefer hosted besides the BF Vietnam, BF2 AIX, please let me know. Jimmy was saying that we should go back to hosting Call of Duty, but I'm not sure how many of us still play it. My computer can't handle some of the newer games, so I have been just hosting the Battlefield series.
*}{* Honorsquad }MH{ will be celebrating it's 9th year as a squad next month, so I may do a throw back to Novalogic's Delta Force Land Warrior & Task Force Delta & begin hosting for the month of April.

Saving some bandwidth for better Ranked BF2142 experience

I've been shutting down the BF2 AIX Coop Mod & Battlefield Vietnam Servers during the Evening hours 6pm - 2am (EST) since most of us are playing in our Ranked BF2142 Titan Server. We've also added a different Conquest map each Wednesday and if you recall we did the same thing last year. We then added another Ranked Conquest only server & Northern Strike server only to find that many of us preferred the Titan only maps. I've taken out the Conquest Map rotation as we lost players when they came up. What are your thoughts for maybe hosting a Conquest Map night or something. Maybe Conquest & Northern Strike Wednesday's or something like that.

*}{* Honorsquad }MH{ Ranked Battlefield 2142 hits over 5000 Unique Players!

Congratulations *}{* Honorsquad }MH{ as we've had over 5000 Unique Players in our Ranked BF2142 Server since 2/11/08 to 4/22/08 when we added the Game Tracker Stats. Additionally, We had over 500 Unique Players in our BF1942 Desert Combat Mod Final Server and over 200 Unique Players in our BF2 AIX Coop Server. I have been doing some recoding to include "Local Ranks" on the BF2 AIX server and am hopeful that it'll be running by next month. You can view the players by clicking on the Game Tracker "VIEW DETAILED STATS" button.
Local Ranks are added on some servers to enable a growth in rank & promotions but is server specific. I'm hoping that it will keep people coming back. A special thanks to Lion}MH{Heart for the suggestion as well as Ollie*}{*North for helping locate the program for me. I've finished the SQL & partial coding and have to upload it to the Stats server. I'll be uploading the program to one of our other servers, so as not to bog down our BF2 & BF2142 server.

A Special thanks to P*}{*REAK}MH{ for administering the Command & Control for BF2142 & by keeping the Squad/Clan tags on the same side. I actually went through all the names on the gametracker listing & wanted to post the Clans that have played on the server so far, but some of the clan tags were rejected by the PHP that I'm running and my previous News Article was deleted. Well, it was a little wordy, so I'm trimming it down a bit. Suffice it to say, of the over 5000 unique players, a little over 250 are from squads with 2 or more people. It still leaves about 3500 non squaded players out there who have enjoyed our server. We are always looking for "Good Soldiers" and we have an Enlistment Sign up above to the Right.

I'm also looking at the possibility of adding another Ranked BF2142 Server hosting Northern Strike Maps. If you recall, last year we had 2 Ranked BF2142 Servers going. One hosting a 32 player Ranked BF2142 Titan Map Only server and the other a 32 player Ranked BF2142 Conquest Map Only server. We didn't have as many people join the Conquest Server, so that was changed to the BF1942 Desert Combat Modded Server instead. Of course the Northern Strike Maps came out a few months later and we hosted them for awhile, but saw few people who actually had them. I suggested a week or two ago that we could have Northern Strike Wednesday's or something to that effect. I'd add another server if I thought that we could maintain the numbers in it.

I'll be adding a Poll (you may need to Register in order to vote) to see if you would like to have an additional Ranked BF2142 Server with the Norther Strike maps. I could also limit the Pings on the Titan Server and increase it to a 48 player Ranked BF2142 Titan Only Server.

Welcome to the *}{* Honorsquad }MH{

The Honorsquad was created on 4/11/00 with a few close friends and his wife, Lion*}{*Heart & Lioness*}{* , our founders helped elevate the Honorsquad and launch it into a global community. The squad grew over the years and became truly intercontinental. Members appeared from the U.K., Canada, China, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, and here in the United States. We had a common bond, to play & host games that we could control which was before the Punk Buster days where the host was god and could control who could stay & who needed to go. We had the greatest Map Makers in the DF2, DFLW, and TFD days.
