Hacker Report

Recently I was playing on your server, and we had trouble with a hacker who I have seen hitting just about every 24/7 metro server. Their tactics are generally: join, push the enemy team back to spawn just about singlehandedly, get 100-150 kills, leave before any admins show up.

This is their battle log profile

Here is a recent battle report on your server. As with every other time I have seen them, they have nearly 150 kills. They consistently achieve this kind of result.

I was present as they were banned by the owner of this server

Thank you for taking the time to investigate this, your server is one of my favorites.

148 kills. Yeah, not possible even with mega multi-kills 'nade spamming against new players -- and look, he wasn't even 'nading, he was using a rifle+pistol.

Basically, he was doing over 1/3 of all the 350 ticket damage, and thought he'd get away with it at other team mates expense. -_-

There's very few players (ladder league types) that can score that high, and even then, they try to play with teammates to ensure success. His record is playing alone and getting extremely high kills on multiple servers. There's a clear M.O. there.

I'll add him to the ban list.

Thanks for posting about this...and please post again if you see very high suspicious kill rates and other obvious exploits.

I've also seen an Russian guy with an aimbot, he used the Pecheng (or how it's pronounced, the LMG) and only got headshots, about 150 kills and only 1 death. Forgot the name though... I'll write it down next time.

While the server is locked down today to monitor the server (the changes EA/DICE did yesterday has borked many BF3 servers), I will do some weapon tests. So far I confirmed the distance needed to kill via buckshot from a USAR rifle (not far), and going to test the other weapons for range. With the range tests done I will know who's killing with hacks. Seeing one shot kills with machineguns; seen buckshot kill from across the room...things not possible without hacking. Short ranged weapons can o-n-l-y do short range damaged.

Will be adding some other admin monitoring mods, to help moderate while away (can't be administrating 24/7). Knowing the averages of the regular players for default ticket sized rounds, and any that is higher per minute and/or round will get auto booted and cheaters -- that do 150 kills -- will be instabanned permanently.

Have zero tolerance for cheaters.

Do you need staff for this job? I'm interested in keeping the server hack-free since it's my favorite server.

If so, I'll write an application.
